2026 Lexus RZ
Overview
Lexus launched the RZ line in 2023 as its first all-battery electric vehicle available worldwide. It exemplified Lexus’s push into high-performance electrification technology. Now, the 2026 RZ has been optimized for more range, more power, and more ways to charge than ever before. It's the natural evolution of their RZ line and an impressive next step that caters to a broader range of drivers.

Who’s It For?
If you were drawn to the RZ’s aggressive styling but put off by some of its performance limitations, the new 2026 RZ addresses those concerns. Its redesigned battery system not only increases power and driving range, but it also reduces charging times. The vehicle’s adoption of the North American Charging System (NACS) is a critical addition, making it easier than ever to “fill up” and seize the day.
The 2026 Lexus RZ has morphed into a considerably more capable machine, emerging as an attractive option for both the environmentally conscious and those who simply lust after a dependable all-electric daily driver.

What’s New for 2026?
The 2026 Lexus RZ’s new NACS charging port, Level One and Level Two AC charging, and new, higher-capacity 11-kW AC charger — an improvement versus the 2025 model year’s 7-kW charger — work in tandem to improve charging capability. When using DC fast charging, the RZ now rockets from 10% to 80% battery capacity in approximately 30 minutes.

All-new for the 2026 model year is the RZ 550e F SPORT AWD trim. Its headlining feature is new front and rear motors, increasing power output to 402 HP, making the trim the RZ’s most powerful. The 550e F SPORT AWD also introduces an M Mode. This electronic system offers a virtual manual gear experience and paddle shifting for a more responsive drive.

The 550e F SPORT AWD’s changes aren’t confined to under-the-hood improvements. Its exterior receives a refreshed, sportier look, with standout F Sport-exclusive touches that include a blacked-out rear spoiler, reimagined front grille, front and rear bumper moldings, and 20-inch wheels with aero covers. These covers reduce weight and contribute to improved energy efficiency.
Real World Performance
Improved range and efficiency are undoubtedly tremendous draws for the 2026 RZ. But Lexus didn’t neglect sheer power, either, and the new three-tier RZ lineup ranges from competent output to blow-your-hair-back speed.

The 2026 RZ 350e trim offers a 300-mile range and produces 221 HP, going 0 to 60 MPH in 7.2 seconds. Those looking for a bit more pop can step up to the 450e AWD model, which increases range to an estimated 260 miles and cranks out 308 total HP, good for a 0 to 60 MPH time of only 4.9 seconds. Finally, those looking for a sporty thrill need only turn to the all-new RZ 550e F Sport AWD and its 402 horsepower. You’ll burn up the roads with a scorching 0 to 60 MPH time of only 4.1 seconds, although the driving range drops modestly to 225 miles on average.
