Early Look: the 2025 Lexus LX 700h

Outside, the 2025 Lexus LX might not look much different than the previous model year. However, the automaker has made some exciting changes to the LX under the hood with the introduction of a hybrid powertrain, making this full-size SUV even more compelling than ever before.
As a leader in innovation and efficiency, Lexus is dedicated to a more sustainable feature. The brand is creating new hybrid powertrains and diversifying its lineup to meet the needs of customers who want a hybrid model that's both lavish and capable. The new Lexus LX hybrid is a perfect example of such innovation.
Lexus has dedicated itself to electrified power, and the LX 700h is the 12th electrified model in the brand’s lineup. The new LX 700h is powered by a 3.4-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine paired with a 10-speed direct shift automatic transmission and a nickel-metal hydride battery. The total system power produces up to 457 horsepower and 583 pound-feet of torque. The resulting efficiency is an EPA-estimated 20 miles per gallon combined. While that might not sound impressive, for an SUV of this size and power, it’s quite the feat.
The innovative hybrid system used in the LX 700h features a starter and an alternator that will allow the engine to work independently of the hybrid system if, for some reason, the system is inoperative. In off-road scenarios, the LX 700h can add motor-driven power to the low range and enable motor-only driving for more precise throttle inputs and better performance.
Inside, the new LX 700h has a unique shelf in the cargo storage area thanks to the battery placement. In the center console, the hybrid Lexus LX is equipped with a waterproof AC inverter with up to 2400 watts of power. The Lexus LX features tons of standard safety features, with the Advanced Park with Remote Park feature being exclusive to the hybrid variant.
It’s hard to explain just how incredibly versatile the new Lexus LX 700h is, but we think you should experience it in person. To be one of the first behind the wheel of the new Lexus LX Hybrid, contact us online today.
